Network Defekts is an album with a difference. To access this artwork's audio, you follow a secret pathway through encryption on the internet, using passwords that we send you via post.

Why all the fuss? Privacy is routinely compromised for the benefit of easy communication on platforms with friendly user interfaces but user-unfriendly Terms and Conditions.

In this sound work, analogue Network Defekts Encryption Tokens are the key to an online journey that elaborates on social and economic factors that affect our choices, the level of encryption of different platforms and barriers to secure communication.

Each analogue token comprises a high quality photographic print of your chosen image along with a series of encryption keys that allow you to access the hidden Network Defekts audio.
